Paddle Lake Ashroe is a concession operation located in Stokes State Forest, Sandyston, NJ that is operated by two brothers, Hunter and Wyatt Karch. Hunter and Wyatt are outdoor recreation enthusiasts that also operate the Dingmans Campground (interested in camping? go to dingmanscampground.com to learn more!) concession and they are very excited to offer customers the chance to explore Lake Ashroe via kayaks or paddleboards!
Rentals are only available on weekends and holidays from from May through September.
What to Bring?
Sunscreen
There is no shade on the lake and we are not authorized to sell any items. So hats and sunscreen are recommended!
Personal Gear
If you have your own life jacket, paddle, etc. that is fine! But if not, we have paddles and life jackets included with the rental.
Water
We do not sell items at this concession and there is no water source, so bring your own non-alcoholic beverages.
Snacks
Our rentals last 90-minutes, so if you are like us, you may want a little snack or two.
Fishing Gear
Fishing is tons of fun on Lake Ashroe. Bring your gear and a license and get to castin!
Good Vibes
Time spent on the lake is time well spent! Don't bring negativity and anger, be kind to those around you!
Rules and Cancellation Policy
Rules are pretty simple at Paddle Lake Ashroe: 1) Wear a life jacket; 2) No swimming, and 3) Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
We do not offer refunds unless we must close for weather. In that case, we will offer a full refund, or a rain check date.
