Get to Know Us
Paddle Lake Ashroe is a concession operation located in Stokes State Forest, Sandyston, NJ that is operated by two brothers, Hunter and Wyatt Karch. Hunter and Wyatt are outdoor recreation enthusiasts that also operate the Dingmans Campground concession and they are very excited to offer customers the chance to explore Lake Ashroe on one of our kayaks or paddleboards!
Rentals are only available on weekends and holidays from 11AM-4PM from Memorial Day through Labor Day, so book today if you want to experience this hidden gem in Stokes State Forest.
Things to Bring
1 / Sunscreen
There is no shade on the lake, so sunscreen is a must.
2 / Water & Snacks
The concession prohibits the sale of items on premises, so please bring your own water and snacks.
3 / Personal Kayaking/Paddleboarding/Fishing Gear & License
We provide life jackets and paddles, but if you have your own, specialty versions feel free to bring them.
We do not have fishing poles and do not sell licenses, so if you plan on fishing bring your poles, some bait, and be ready to show us your valid fishing license.
Rules and Cancellation Policy
Rules are pretty simple at Paddle Lake Ashroe: 1) wear a life jacket; 2) no swimming, and 3) Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

For customer cancellations, if a reservation is cancelled within 7 days of the reservation date no refund will be given, if it is cancelled greater than 7 days from the reservation date we will refund all but $10.

If we need to close for weather, we will offer a full refund, or a rain check date.
